What do MX priorities mean?
A lower number is a higher priority. Senders try the lowest number first and move on when it is down. Several servers with the same priority share the load.
My site is hosted in one place and mail in another. Where should MX point?
MX points only at inbound mail servers (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, a mail host), never at the web server. Moving the website should not touch MX.
What is a null MX?
An MX record "0 ." states that the domain receives no mail. It is used for technical domains so senders do not wait for delivery.
